The Protein Project

The Protein Project is an open-source initiative dedicated to the advancement of computational protein folding.  In its current state, this program allows you to interactively fold proteins on a variety of lattice structures.  Using the HP and HP side chain models, users can experiment with various folding techniques.

The end goal is to develop algorithms that will maximize the number of contacts to find the minimum-energy conformation of a given protein, starting only with the amino acid sequence as input.

The core of this program is designed to support any type of protein model, and any type of positioning method - both on-lattice and off-lattice.

Download the latest sourcecode or visit the project summary page for details on development.
